At Audrini Living, we take great pride in supplying exceptional wall panelling solutions that elevate the atmosphere and aesthetic of every project we support. One of our most distinguished collaborations dates back to 2020, when we partnered with Design CLD to contribute to the fit-out of the new Milroy’s whisky bar in Spitalfields, London.
This was a unique opportunity to bring our craftsmanship and materials into a heritage -rich environment with a contemporary twist. The result? A space that beautifully marries tradition with bold, modern design - just like Milroy’s vision.

A Legacy Reimagined
Milroy’s is a name synonymous with whisky. Originating in Soho during the 1960s, the bar has long stood as a beacon for connoisseurs. The Spitalfields expansion, guided by the talented team at Design CLD and overseen by consultants Rees Associates, was more than just a second location - it was a thoughtful reinvention.
Spread across four floors, the new venue needed to reflect the original bar’s warmth and soul, while accommodating a significantly larger space. From the ground floor whisky bar to the exclusive upstairs Dram House, and into the candle-lit cellar now known as the "Proofing Room", every inch was carefully crafted to enhance the guest experience.
Our Contribution: Rosa Wall Panelling with Shou Sugi Ban Finish
For this project, Audrini Living supplied our Rosa wall panelling, which we treated using the traditional Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban - a method of charring wood to enhance its durability and texture while bringing out its natural beauty. This centuries-old technique adds rich, dark tones and a tactile surface finish, perfect for high-end hospitality environments.
The result was a truly unique panelling solution that seamlessly complemented the luxurious yet raw aesthetic of the space. Used throughout the venue, from the velvet-accented Dram House to the atmospheric Proofing Room, our wall panelling provided the grounding natural element that tied the interiors together.

Wall Panelling in Hospitality Design
Working closely with Design CLD and GFN Ltd, we were reminded of how powerful well-executed wall panelling can be in commercial interior design - particularly in hospitality. More than a decorative feature, it shapes ambiance, enhances acoustic comfort, and adds a touch of natural elegance that modern materials often fail to achieve.
Whether it’s used as a feature wall, full cladding, or to create intimate zones within open spaces, wall panelling continues to be a valuable design tool for interior architects and developers.

Looking Ahead
We are grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such a distinctive project and to contribute to the evolution of a brand as iconic as Milroy’s. It’s always rewarding to see how our collections, when applied with intention, craftsmanship, and collaboration, help define meaningful spaces.
At Audrini Living, we continue to support interior designers, fit-out professionals, and developers in delivering standout interiors with our range of natural, sustainable wall panelling options.
