Weathered Brushed Timber Cladding

Weathered brushed boards referred to as wooden boards or panels have undergone a weathering process to achieve a natural, aged appearance. This process involves exposing the wood to various elements, such as sunlight, wind, and rain, which gradually wear down the surface, creating unique markings and a rustic charm. After weathering, the boards are further brushed to enhance their texture and bring out the natural grain patterns, resulting in a distinct, tactile surface with a pleasant, warm, and brownish tone. Weathered brushed boards are often used in interior and exterior design to add character and authenticity, bringing a touch of nature's beauty to any space.

Weathered Timber Cladding

Weathered wood boards and timber planks are a popular choice for many applications, including interior and exterior décor, furniture, and architectural features. These types of wood have been exposed to the elements and have undergone natural weathering, resulting in a distinctive appearance that cannot be replicated with new, untreated wood. Weathered wood boards and timber planks typically exhibit a range of colours and textures, including grey, brown, and black tones, with the appearance of natural ageing, including cracks, splits, and knots. The degree of weathering can vary depending on the exposure and time spent outdoors, resulting in a unique look that adds character and charm to any project.

Hand Hewn Timber Cladding

Hand-hewn timber cladding brings the timeless charm of old-world craftsmanship to the UK market. When logs are hewn, they undergo a meticulous transformation from their natural round shape to timber with roughly flat sides, achieved through the skilled use of adzes, broad axes, and craftsmanship by skilled artisans. This labor-intensive process leaves unmistakable marks on the beams, adding authenticity and character to each piece. These hand-hewn beams showcase the artistry of traditional craftsmanship and offer a unique appeal that sets them apart in today's reclaimed timber market. Each beam's individuality is a testament to their hand-crafted origins and the locally available wood from which they are made, resulting in varying dimensions. When choosing beams for commercial or residential projects, hand-hewn beams are a popular and sought-after choice. Almost a lost art, the hand-hewing process imparts a sense of simplicity and beauty to these old wooden beams, making them an exquisite addition to any space. At Audrini Living our hand-hewn beams bring timeless allure to every room, evoking a sense of rustic elegance that captivates and inspires.

Use timber cladding on your house or outdoor space design.

The colour palette of light brown and grey offers remarkable aesthetic versatility, evoking the essence of Scandinavian design while providing a neutral and adaptable canvas for your entire space. Its seamless blending with the outdoor surroundings allows for effortless incorporation of vibrant pops of color or other whites, greys, and blacks, enabling the creation of striking monochromatic themes.

What sets grey cladding apart is its ability to maintain a consistent appearance over time. Unlike some materials that undergo significant changes in appearance, grey sun-burned cladding remains close to its original form, ensuring your building will retain its desired look well into the future.

It's essential to understand that weathering is a natural process that occurs in timber, irrespective of the species. Embracing this natural characteristic is one of the many beautiful aspects of working with timber, adding a timeless and authentic appeal to your architectural projects.

How Timber Cladding Weathers?

It is important that anyone planning to use timber cladding for external purposes of their projects understand that over time the look of the wood will mature and the effect that this process can have on the build design. We have taken care of main characterises change as our cladding is fully weathered, meaning there will be very minimal change when used within interior design projects.
